Hi,

Using a 2011 Macbook Pro 15" basic model with the standard slow hard disk and 4gb ram.

I can't quite put my finger on the cause of the slow down in Boot Camp, but its not responsive, screen is slow to redraw and slow opening programs.

Windows resource monitor does not show any great usage of anything.

I realise this is extremely vague, but I had done nothing apart from install windows and the boot camp cd.

The laptop seems fine in Lion, but it needs to work in Windows better.

Is there a common fault that can be fixed?

I have noticed the Intel HD graphics device does not seem to be listed, only the ATI card.

Does the macbook pro not switch between them?

Thanks for the driver info, shame Apple don't support it properly.

I purchased the MBP as I need to develop some iPhone apps and used it as an excuse to upgrade my Dell laptop (which is only a bit slower on paper still i7 just not quad core)

But as it stands I'm not loving the MBP and may send it back and get a mac mini, and keep the better Dell.

I think the MBP is going back, going to get a mini or a mba 11" instead.

I think most of the problems come from the slow hdd in the MBP I realise I could put a SSD in but I can't return it if I open it.
