Windows 7 slowdown

Been using 7 for about 3 weeks and been fine but the last couple of days everything seems to pause for a long time before doing anything and games seem to be running slower (crysis and grid).
Have checked all components temps, run memtest and all seems fine, Help please.

Well, in the 3 weeks mate, have you installed a lot of games/programs, if so, all you need to do is defrag your hard drive(s). Should do the trick

listen to see if your HDDs spin-up when the pause finishes.

Clean install on a 1tb western digital and ive added nothing in the last 6 days, its only started happening in the last 2 days before that everything was fine.

Thats what i thought but have run anti virus 3 times nothing found,really bugging me as before this 7 was running so well.

1 more thing you could always try, take out your memory put it back in, check all wires are in correctly and do a fresh install? I really don't know what to sujest, ive had no probz with windows 7 but, try that
