Hi Folks

I cannot get windows 7 RC to install onto my media centre PC. It seems to stall at the phase "completing installation" I have left it at this stage for 2hrs+ rebooting just loops the process.

* This is a fresh installation (Tried on the existing and on brand new HDD)
* I have removed all peripherals and external HDDs etc.
* The Beta builds installed with no issues.
* Tried new keyboard n mouse.

This is on a Shuttle SN95G5 box.

There seems to be loads of posts around this issue on Google however these all seem to be down to failed upgrades with the solution of clean install.

Anyone else had this issue on a clean install and found a fix?

Hi Peeps

Seems to be a known issue with the Nova-t 500 card. On removal the RC installed with no isuses. here is my update on hauppauge forums.

I ran the windows 7 upgrade advisor under Vista and it stated that there are know issues with the 500-t however once a windows update takes place after installation the card would be compatible (sorry cannot remember exact wording)

During installation with the card in the PC I had the same hanging issue at "completing installation". On removing the card and installed the 64bit version of RC1 with no problems.

I then re-inserted the card and device manager showed "Hauppauge Nova-DR FW Downloader"

On a right click and download drivers from the web it detected this device.

Then on a reboot device manager showed "Win TV Nova-DT IR"

Again a right click and download drivers from the web it detected this device.

On a reboot the card seems to work just fine

I also had the bsod on installation when it stalled at "completing installation" this seemed to happen at the point where the PC went into sleep due to the non activity of the stalled installation.

PC is a Shuttle SN95G5 V1.
Power Saving in the BIOS is set to S3

I will test further the sleep bsod over the next few days and will post the results.
