Windows 7 student

So I am ordering my components soon and I need windows 7, I do go to college and have my own .ac.uk email however I can't access it from home because I don't think you can; it uses outlook at college. Can somone tell me how much the student offer is because if it's not much less than the normal price I will just buy it instead of waiting for half term to pass.

Also is it an upgrade or a full installation can I put it on a new HDD?

ok thanks, so does anyone know how much it will cost from the microsoft store for home premium or proffesional once you're give access to it? as a student i don't mind paying £30 or whatever.

Yeah my college is on there, so do i get the login info from my tutors or will they need to download it for me?
