I'm currently testing rolling out Windows 7 and have a couple of questions.

I've installed Windows 7 on a machine, configured some settings and set the administrator profile to act as default (screen background etc). Once it's all as i want i run sysprep in conjunction with an unattend.xml file. I then use WDS to create an image. When the laptop restarts it auto answers everything as expected and the desktop is all as it should be too (minus a couple of pinned apps).

When i push the image out to another machine through WDS it doesnt apply the unattend.xml at all. It's not a huge problem as i can still apply it to the WDS image itself, but why does this need to be done if its already been sysprep'd with the answer file?

Also, the taskbar seems to return to default every time when the image is pushed out through WDS. I had removed some pinned apps, changed the notfication area defaults and created a shortcut to a folder on the taskbar. These all returned to default even though the rest of the profile settings etc were copied over succesfuly. I can't see anything in Windows SIM to counter this. Any way round it?
