Hi all,

I have a Wacom Graphire4 tablet that I have been using for some time with Windows 7 Home Premium.

I found the 'ripple' effect on every press very annoying when using my tablet, so disabled the 'Tablet PC Input Service' within windows' services controls. This worked well for many months.

However today, after not using my tablet for a short while, I find that the 'ripples' have returned :(

The 'Tablet PC Input Service' is still disabled, only the 'TabletServicesPen' service is running. I guess this is due to a recent patch that has been issued for Windows7?

Trying to fix the issue, I have tried using the 'Turn Windows Features On or Off' section of the 'Programs and Features' control panel and disabling the 'Tablet PC Components'. However, even after restarting the 'ripples' remain.

I have tried installing the latest wacom drivers - cons524-6 - but the 'ripples' still appear.

Unfortunately I'm out of ideas now - I have tried stopping the 'TabletServicesPen' service, this does stop the 'ripples' but the tablet becomes unusable with the screen area becoming mapped to a very small portion of the tablet surface.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks.
