Has anyone got windows7 tablets?
Any comments on them, I'm assuming battery life is pretty poor?
Getting itchy fingers and wanting to jump ship and I know when W8 comes out I will want to play.

Ouch at 1k

The only ones I can find currently out are the.

Zoostorm SL8 Atom N450 2GB 32GB W7 Pro
EXOPC Slate Windows 7 Tablet

As 1366px wide is essential for windows 8.
But no idea what the screen, battery life is like or how powerful the atom is. I assume it powerful enough as htpcs use the atom. Also 14mm thick, iPad is only 9mm.

Sensible thing would be to wait 12months, but I'm so impatient.

Would also like to give 12" a try, but unsure what on screen keyboard w8 has, with that size it needs to be thumb ones. Although I'm sure keyboards was discussed in the keynotes.

The sl8 seems tempting, it gets very good reviews.

I'm thinking 12" with w8 split screen would be awesome. Combined with zune and flash.
But it's a walk on a dodgy path and would need to sell my apple stuff to give it and wp7 a try.

I have a dell duo - hybrid notebook/ tablet with a swivel screen.

It's is a hit chunky for use as a tablet, and the viewing angles are atrocious compared to my touchpad. This means it is usually more comfortable to use it as a notebook. It is axfun bit of kit though, and it feels very comfortable to use the touchscreen whilst the screen is vertical. In terms of processor and ram, it is a bit sluggish. W7 really is not designed well for touch, and can be fiddley to navigate via small buttons. I am sure w8 will be great on the duo. I intend to test the developer build shortly.
Please let me know how you get on.
I'm reluctant to buy any more films on iTunes as I will be going w8 and if it's possible to jump ship early with only a few minor draw backs, that would be great.

That samsung is impressive i5 and 7th battery life. If it holds unto claims. But companies have been much better on nor lying about battery life over the last couple of years.
