Need your help guys

Basically I installed Safari on Win 7 and once installed dragged the shortcut on the taskbar (bottom left) and made a permanent shortcut to the program. Then an update for safari came out and it installed over the previous version. Now when I go to remove the safari shortcut from the taskbar (right click --> unpin this program...) it comes up with an error: This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.

If I then try and rewrite the shortcut by dragging a shortcut to safari to the taskbar, it just adds another icon to the taskbar and the 'invalid' icon remains. Any ideas how to remove it?

Just remove the shortcut from the taskbar manually by navigating to C:\Users\<user name>\Appdata\roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
