Why am I able to install WinSCP without any UAC prompts? I can install it as a standard user.

Trying to work out how I can restrict this laptop, otherwise all sorts will be installed. An application called RDM (remote desktop something) has also been installed, and there is a 'server' process running on all user accounts. This must have been installed via a standard user account too.

How can I stop this?

I just unsuccessfully tried to install winscp429setup.exe as a standard user in Win7-64. It failed, as expected, as the target directory is under C:\Program Files (x86)\ which is protected.

If I directed it to install under C:\Users\<username>\ it will proceed and integrate with Explorer's context menus, which I guess is to do with the user's registry settings, but will not be able to register the sftp:// and scp:// protocols without Administrator intervention.

We need a bit more detail on the locations and filenames of the processes that have caught your eye if you're looking for more assistance.
