Windows 7 UI is much nicer than windows 8

I mean in windows with areo, I never touched metro and I have been running W8 for the past year. Just recently went back to W7, to me it just looks better and boots up quicker.

Each to their own, I personally like Windows 8 and found myself trying to imitate it in Win7 so decided to make the jump. And baring in mind all the benefits to gamers coming out soon I think I made the right choice

In my opinion shouldn't have to have add-ons to make it function correctly or smartly. They should be built in.

I still think Windows 7 is better than Windows 8 but not going to get into debates any more about this.

I don't mind the lack of Aero. Aero was Microsoft's attempt to catch up with the more aesthetic OSX, and it didn't really succeed - it looked much better than the fisher-price look that XP had, but it was all a bit half-hearted. Still, Aero was 2006 and I'm not fussed that 6 years later we moved on.
