As per title really and I'm not sure what to check.

A few months back I decided to upgrade from 2 x 500GB HDD's to 1 1TB SSD. I carried out a fresh install of Windows 7 on the SSD and ever since I've been plagued with any one of the following happening far too often: -

  • Display driver Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode driver, (whatever driver version I have) has stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
  • Windows freezing, no response.
  • Random reboots.

None of these were happening prior to the upgrade to the SSD.

My spec: -

i7 930 2.80GHz - Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R - Corsair XMS3 16GB
MSI GeForce GTX 970 - EVGA SupaNova G2 850W - 1TB Samsung 850 EVO SSD
Samsung B2430H - Coolermaster CM-690 II - Windows 7 Pro (64bit)

Has anyone got any ideas on what I should check to try and get to the bottom of these, or any of them.

Thanks

Without asking too many questions did you ever try to reinstall with just the SSD attached? Is there anything your doing when you get these issues? Is your BIOS and SSD firmware up to date?

Sorry, I'm not sure what you're asking?

I simply removed the HDD's and then installed the SSD and installed the OS.

The BIOS is up to date, I'd have to check the SSD.

My bad what i was saying was it could be more complex than your thinking so pushed aside some simple things to move it along.

Maybe some more info or trying another OS or reinstall (W10?) to rule things out will help?

I assume there is a real ticnomonster to tickle these out i kid :)
