Windows 7 update error =/

Since the 30th of October I have been getting an error when trying to update, I have already reset the update component using the agressive mode in the tool supplied by microsoft to no avail

I get the error code 80070005 and I have searched and found the code on google but it wasn't much help

I really, really, really cba to reinstall

I found a Microsoft KB article that just might be relevant to your update issue. I realize the error code in the article title doesn’t match, but the number you provided is indeed listed under the Symptoms heading in the second box.
