Windows 7 Update Failed - Retry?

Iv had a number of windows 7 updates fail (mainly due to my PC BSOD'd during update - but thats another issue)

So in my update history I have some updates installed OK and some FAILED. I cannot for the life of me see any way to re-install/re-try the failed updates? They are just in the list, failed only option to click OK (close screen).

Anyone know how to retry? (ps - I googled first with rubbish results - mainly XP based as well) ?

Repair install? System restore? Buy a genuine copy?

if you check for updates the failed ones will show up again for you to install
they always have in the past for me
