Windows is telling me I need to update this but I don't want it. Is there anyway I can bypass it as currently it's telling me I need to update it. Why is this a recommended update? Surely it should be optional?

Thanks

Even so, usually they make 'programs' optional. This time is stealth instaleld on me, next thing I realise I've ruined msn name changing ability. Otherwise damn thing can be skinned right back to normal.

Still no idea why they remvoed the name change without account namechnage function.
Stupid.

I nearly downloaded/installed this as I saw a reference to outlook & miss it. (I don't suppose it can be downloaded seperately?) No real loss now anyway as Mozilla Thunderbird is nearly just as good...just not the same.

Any other reason why anyone should want to download this live essentials?

Ive just installed it to update MSN and Windows Live Mail.

It has added the ribbon to WLM and a calender option, so it is a worthy update.
It has 2 options on the install, Install full pack, or update only what you have installed.

Yeah, this annoyed me also. I just installed the update without really checking. I like the tabbed msn conversations but not being able to change you screen name is as you put it... stupid.

Seems like MS are trying to make msn into something more akin to twitter, I dont want a "live profile" or to add my social feeds dammit! :D
