Hi,

Yesterday I thought to myself i wonder if new drivers are out for my graphics card, random i know, I was on 10.1 and it was up to 10.9, shows the amount of time since I looked (I have an XFX 4890 1GB). Downloaded and installed full Ati CCC suite/drivers thing like i had before but obviously new and updated. Since then things haven't been going right. Display, games, etc work perfectly fine. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit, the problem is when I turn the computer off it will say installing updates 1 of 3, etc, when it eventually turns off, the next time you turn it on it says configuring updates 0%(just before the log on screen comes up). It stays on 0% for 5 minutes ish and then the log on screen comes up, when you turn the computer off again it says installing updates 1 of 3, etc. So its a loop, the update is corrupt/not working perhaps, i don't know.

Any advice/suggestions about how to get rid of this problem greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

The Scop

I had this problem. What you have to do is once you are in windows go to your windows update history and install the updates from there. When you next start up it will install properly and all will be well.
