Following on from this thread, i am still no further forward and thought it best to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7.

Ran all the spyware/virus checkers (i have ESET, Malware Bytes etc all installed), but zero results.
I would prefer to solve this problem, but it looks like most of you are suggesting an upgrade to Windows 7. So my next question is, where is the cheapest?!
I am eligible for Microsoft Home use, but they seem to be pushing Windows 8, more than 7 and i am also a registed Uni student.
