Windows 7 Upgrade x86/x64

Hi,

I'm looking at buying a new Sony laptop which will come with a free upgrade to Windows 7.

The OEM install is Vista Home Premium x86, but as the machine has 4gb of RAM I want to use the x64 edition of Windows 7.

Is it going to be possible/legal to get the x64 edition on there with the upgrade kit and license supplied?

THe key will work for both. You just need 64media. In fact i think they ask which media you want when you order the upgrade
