I am part way through a re-build of my own pc and will be formatting and re-installing Windows 7 on both my own and our family pc shortly after.

On the family PC I have one account as Admin for myself and all other accounts as Standard. On my own PC I have one account as Admin for myself.

After I format and re-install, does it make any difference if I set both Admin account names as the same? Are there any benefits or problems of using the same details? Currently I am using two different account names.

I hope that all made sense :D.

If I am understanding you correctly, you won't be able to create two user accounts which have the exact same name on the same system.

Edit:

If you mean creating user accounts which have the same name on more than one system, I can't see that being an issue. :)

This.

Two different systems, same account name. I am not sure if it will make things any easier (remote login etc.) if I have the same account across each pc OR if it is better to go with different account names.
