What's the best way to store user profiles on a separate partition in Windows 7?

I've tried using symbolic links and directory junctions but it just loads temporary profiles for the accounts and not the account directory stored on the separate partition.

regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList.

Probably a bad idea to do this for your current profile.

I don't advise doing this!

Why the suggestion then? :p

Is there no way to use mklink with Windows 7? It seems to be documented for Vista on many blogs but not much mention of Windows 7 at all.

Okay, I've created a junction point using that. The link works fine navigating via the folders, however Windows does not load the profile when logging in. It will only load a temporary profile.

Any ideas?
