So i went and downloaded Virtual PC for Windows 7 - Windows6.1-KB958559-x64.msu

Didnt need the XP thing, so just got the virtual pc software.

Was going to put Windows 7 onto it, so i could make a little video on the installation progress etc... using camtasia.

Was greeted with the screen below though.

Any ideas? Running on a Phenom II X4 965 so shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks in advance.

ha, i was right to be sceptical. the reason being is that microsoft have always sucked at virtualisation. :p

edit: you should try vmware player 3 RC. it's much better than vmware server. that's assuming you were going for the free options. :)

Virtual PC 64bit, is for 64 bit hosts so it can address large amounts of ram,

It doens't support 64bit os's as of yet tho.. another fail on MS front.

Get VM ware and we done with it tho :)

Tried VMWare, but using it's built in filming recording function didnt work too well. It recorded really small and has black bars all over it.

Will google for Virtual Box.
