looks good, seems much faster booting up than Vista, hope they improve the GUI in final build though

like I mentioned it depend on hardware spec -- in my PC with AM2 6400+ 3.2Ghz and 8GB RAM included 2x1TB hard drive that run lots faster in Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 boot up took 25 seconds and shut down took less than 3 seconds - it lots quicker ---- it still depend on laptop or PC system like hardwares size (RAM size, CPU speed,etc...)..

Find out if it speed in Windows 7 if you buy one when it release - see which one it better Vista SP1/SP2 or Windows 7...

Saw an interview with some old man demonstating Windows7 to a BBC presenter on the website.

Looks like it could be interesting but what cracks me up is that the demonstration nearly always goes wrong when Windows is in the spotlight.

I know its still early days but still makes me chuckle.

Yeah it doesn't really show much, my M1330 with Vista HP starts just as fast (if not slightly faster) as the one with Windows 7 there. OSX-speed startups are what's going to be needed to impress me.
