Ok, I'm completely out of touch, about 6 or 7 years out of touch to be exact!
I'm still running Windows XP on a pretty old PC and I'd like to upgrade, I'm looking at Windows 7 Home Premium and I see there are 3 different versions:-
1) Home premium - Full retail (both 32 bit and 64 bit)
2) Home premium - 32 bit
3) Home premium - 64 bit
Not only am I looking to upgrade my OS, I'm also going to start looking at getting a new mobo and CPU and RAM. As I understand it, right now with my existing setup I only need option 2 above. But... if I buy a new processor and mobo etc., are they all 64 bit?
I honestly don't have a clue about the current mobos and CPU's, should I be buying option 1 above (£18 more) to make sure?
Any help or advice appreciated.
