Windows 7 will not instal

I have a new system from OC

i5 750 CPU
1 TB Hard drive
5770 Ati G Card
Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3

Problem is I cant install my windows 7 (retail)
It will just not work on the DVD drive, will not boot up into it

Yes I have put boot into CD first in bios

So I tried my XP and 10 minutes later I have XP running (SP2)

I put in my Win 7 disk and it does not see it on the DVD (both 32 and 64bit)
Put disk in my mac and it can see both , so disks are not dud.

Any help please :confused:

I suppose that you do actually have a DVD drive in your PC?

Genuine disk yes? or copied?

Duff DVD player.

put new one in and it worked

and yes orginal win 7 not a copy

I was actually asking if you had a DVD drive in the PC and not a CD drive.
Next would have been "are you sure the DVD drive actually works correctly".

Glad it's sorted though.

If its not a copy make one - they can get scratched!
