Hi

Just had my hard drive fail and after searching around decided to upgrade to a 64Gb solid state drive and Windows 7 Home Premium (retail) to replace my current Windows XP setup.

Been trying to decide if I should install the 32 or 64 bit version of Windows 7 when it arrives, my current motherboard is limited to 2Gb of ram and people seem to be saying that 4Gb ram is needed for the 64 bit version.

I would appreciate some advice on which would be the best version to install.

Current PC spec:

Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz
AsRock 4CoreDual-SATA 2 motherboard
2Gb PC5300 667 MHz (Dual channel kit)
Kingston SSDNow V+ Series 64GB hard drive for the operating system
1 x 500gb SATA drive and 1 x 500Gb IDE drive for storage etc

I also need to be able to play Command and Conquer Red Alert 2/Yuris Revenge as I have an ongoing challenge against one of my mates.

Many Thanks :)

Windows 7 will be fine with 2GB RAM. I would use x64 as it doesn't matter if you only have 2GB RAM. Until last month I was using Windows 7 x64 with 2GB RAM.
