Hillarious Woes.

For no apparent reason my pc refused to boot up this evening. Long story short, ive got to the system restore console and gone to select the restore point I wanted, clicked next and been confronted with "You must enable system protection on this drive" for the drive were windows 7 is installed.

Any ideas failing a format?

I havnt enabled it myself, but im told its turned on by default (Numerous restore points would indicate this also)

any idea if there is a command prompt command I can use to turn it on? Or indeed any other way to get it to boot up?

Have you tried booting off your Win 7 DVD, then select Repair your Computer, then select system restore. Or Pressing F8 on bootup and going into safe mode, then try to do an system restore.
