Windows 7 x64 Ultimate 4GB Issue?

Hi all, i've just put another 2gb of memory into my SLI-DR 939 board, first off at post it was not seeing all of the 4GB and the same in windows. Enabled Memory Remap in the BIOS, which is now seeing the full 4gb;

The only issue is in system properties it says;

Installed memory 4gb (3.00 gb Usable)

I'm not sure if this is just a bad report or not, but I need to run quite a few Virtual machines with as much memory as I can, if windows is not able to use a full 1GB that will be an issue. Any ideas?

seems like a similar issue I had, try this:

click start button
type msconfig in the search box and hit enter
goto the boot tab
click on advanced options button
remove the tick from 'number of processors' and 'maximum memory'
(dont set the values, make sure the boxes are unticked)
click OK
click APPLY (make sure you do this)
click OK
reboot
