Hi,

I want to buy Windows 7, to install on three computers. Do I have to buy the product three times, or can I buy one version I can install three times?

Many thanks,

Froskoy.

You need a separate license for each machine.

If the offer's still available you can get a Home Premium family pack for £150, containing three upgrade licenses. Alternatively you'll have to buy three copies of whatever version/edition you need.

If the three systems which you're looking to upgrade are already licensed to a copy of Windows XP and / or Windows Vista, you can get the Windows 7 Family pack which you will be able to install on up to three machines which costs around £150, providing it's still available of course. If not, then you're going to need to purchase three separate Windows 7 licenses of your desired version. :)

Thanks very much Range, Daegan and Fire Wizard.

Looks like I'm going to have to buy three separate licences - one I'm changing over from Linux, one's on XP and one is on Vista. I'd quite like to play with some of the extra features of Professional, so I might end up buying one Professional and two Home Basics - ouch could get expensive.

Email is [email protected] (will delete from this thread when you've emailed the FAQ).

Many thanks again for your help,

Froskoy
