Im looking to get windows 7 (64-bit) for my computer build and have no idea what im doing. What version should i get? The retail is very expensive and i dont want to get that really but im not sure if i can just buy the 64-bit version? Also how would i install it?

Thanks, Sam

On a new system you just enable boot from CD in the bios, stick the disk in the tray, and close the tray, and save/restart bios. It will boot from the disk and install Windows.

Before you install, disconnect your Hdd. Go into the bios and select ACHI mode, save and exit. then install. When the win7 installation is finished, you then need to install your chipset and Gpu drivers.

So would this product be the correct version to get?
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 64-bit, English, 1 Pack, DSP OEI (PC) (This OEM software is intended for system builders only)
