Hi All

Yesterday started off a new phase in upgrading my old rig, into my new one.

went with a new Mobo, SSD and CPU.

Now i know i bought an OEM version of Win7, but i had no problems at all installing it on the SSD with the new motherboard? No registration problems, no phone call to active etc?

Is this normal?

Yes it will only make you do the automated phone call system if the key has been activated so many times that it flags up on their system.

Oh, i thought the licence was helf within the first mobo it was installed on, which was like 18 months ago.

would have upgraded earlier if i knew it wouldn't of been an issue, lol..
