Windows 8.1 and keyboard issues

Upgraded to 8.1 from 7 over the weekend and I've noticed that in games like battlefield sometimes the countermeasure button refuses point blank to work (x key) despite it working fine when typing, as I've never experienced this in windows 7 before I'm assuming it has to do with win 8.1 to some degree.

Keyboards just a basic Microsoft comfort curve.

I know this may sound stupid but is the keyboard language the same in Win 8 as the physical keyboard ie English UK and not US. we have seen many issues at work during upgrades when it reverts to US and then either keys not working randomly or double typing.

lord only knows why it does this but it does.

Plugged in my Logitech and working fine, keyboard was set to English uk. Weird.

Working now anyway

microsoft wireless keyboard stopped working when upgraded to 8.1..

I can't tell you how much this bug annoys the absolute bejeezus out of me.
