Windows 8.1 and Windows Media Player Crashing

Morning all, I haven't really had time to look in to this but I've got a few spare minutes this morning.

Basically when playing music in Windows Media player it keeps crashing .... I've tried the Media Player Trouble-shooter, the sfc/scannow and Disable and Enabling Media player in Windows features nothing seems to cure it

Any one else had this issue??

it crashes on every single track, I cant even listen to a full song....

Well I've just installed VLC media player and its working fine, so I think il just remove Windows Media player and stick with this

Well my solution was to just remove it and use VLC media player
