Windows 8.1 and X-Fi Premium Fatality - Help!

Just done an install of Windows 8.1 and now I've got no sound, tried drivers from Creative and they can't find anything compatible when I try to install.

Now I had it working previously but that was an upgrade from Windows 7, so drivers do work but they won't install.

Been searching Google for the last 30 minutes and getting nowhere fast.

Anyone know where I can get drivers that will install and work?

Nevermind.

Uninstalled Creative drivers in device manager and rebooted forcing windows to reinstall.

It's working now, so annoying!!!!!

If you find its not saving your settings the fix is to set it up the way you want, put pc to sleep thyen wake it up again.

Yes, not only is it not remembering the settings, audio is not working after a restart.

Where are you getting these pax drivers from? this is ridiculous.

I had this problem when I had the same card, I believe disabling Creative UpdReg from running on startup fixes it, at least it fixes the settings anyway. Not sure about the audio.

No audio is due to the settings, so far I've to reset defaults everytime I've restarted to get the audio working again.

Will try disabling that.

Oddly enough the Creative driver has installed fine on some older machines I've updated today.

Seems X-Fi Xtrememusic cards are better supported than the premium cards.

Windows 8 had been out for a while now, I'm still having loads of driver issues, especially network adaptors.
