Windows 8.1 - couldn't create a new partition.. (Fresh install on new ssd)

Hi all,

Trying to install windows 8.1 onto a fresh ssd with usb.

I'm getting an error when selecting my ssd as the drive I want tk install windows on.

It reads... "We couldn't create new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the setup log files"

Set Sata ports to AHCI mode.

Which SSD/motherboard?

Any USB drives in etc? I had this problem for hours on my ultrabook, turns out it was because I had an SD card in...

I have set them to ahci

Kingston Hyper X Fury 240gb
Gigabyte ex58

Just the usb I'm using as a boot drive.
