Windows 8.1 Error On shutdown

I've updated my laptop's operating system from windows 8 to 8.1 but i keep getting the following error when i shutdown my system.



My brother is also having this error on his laptop, this error does not happen all the time but most of the time. Anyone know what could be causing this error and how to fix.

Asus G73JH Laptop Specs

Intel® Core™ i7-720QM processor 1.60 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.8 GHz
Mobile Intel® HM55 Express Chipset
8912MB (2048x4) DDRIII 1066 RAM
ATI Mobility™ Radeon® HD 5870, 1GB GDDR5 dedicated graphics

I get the same thing (qosmio laptop), no idea what's causing it but as it only happens on shutdown I'm not overly bothered.

I get the same, But with me the error is generated by Skype. Happened with 8.0 too.

Though it doesn't seem to cause any problems apart from the pop up on shut down. It is annoying because....

#1 It means something, somewhere, isn't right! And that bothers me!

#2 It actually stops the shut-down process. If one fails to click the "OK", the machine goes back to desktop!
