Windows 8.1 hang on log in

So I installed 8.1 on a freshly formatted SSD on monday and all seemed fine,however I switched on the PC today from a cold boot to find it gets to the sign in screen that shows my email and just hangs there infinitely. If I switch it off at the wall then back on it loadfs fine but from a cold boot I get the hang. I have heard it could be sky drive but other than that no idea. I dont really want to clean install after I took so long to get it back to normal with my games on. Any ideas?

Oh and system restore is day of install so I may as well do a clean install if I go down that route. I want skydrive sctive really as my xbox one and surface pro arer also synced up to it
