Windows 8.1 Media Player - stuck in full screen

How in the hell do I watch a video in window mode? Everytime I play a media file, the stupid app loads up full screen, and no matter what I do or press it stays like it.

Windows 8 is doing my head in right now!

EDIT: I've just realised it's not opening it in Windows Media Player, it's using some built in 'Video' app. Which is awful.

all the metro crApps are awful.. you checked the sound recorder ... LOOOOOOL

dunno why they even bothered its a total joke...they should be paying people to use this metro designed garbage.

Install mpc-be

Set your default media player back to media player, by default on 8 it'll try launching the inbuilt apps for most things.
