Windows 8.1 or 8.1 pro

Hello,
I am going to build a new PC in the near future and I am not sure what the real world difference that Windows 8.1 pro has over Windows 8.1 home edition.
We recently made a high end gaming PC and used pro but would benefit from saving some cash on this extra machine providing there are no downsides from the non pro version.
Could someone tell me the real world difference over the two?

Win8 will probably be fine if you have to ask.

You can always use 3rd-party apps to add remote desktop and full disk encryption functionality.

If it's primarily for gaming then the non-pro SKU is fine.
