Windows 8.1 Question

My boss wants to make use of the split screen tech in windows 8.1, I am aware that only windows 8.1 apps are capable of triggering the split screen function, does anyone know if Office 365/2013 is capable of activating the split screen function? for example Excel|Desktop as windows 2010 will not work in split screen as it is not an app.

you can use windows snap to split the screen in half. just drag the application to the right or left edge of the screen and let go.this works for most desktop apps.
