Windows 8.1 Resolution problem

updated to Win 8.1 yesterday and now my screen no longer uses the full width and height of my screen. I've checked resolution and its still set as 1920x1080 which it was before the update and i've checked ratio on TV screen and it's set the same as it was before the update. Any ideas? :confused:

pull the cable out and plug it back in, this should force the OS to setup the screen again.

What gfx card have you got?

if you're connecting via HDMI and you have an AMD card, you might need to tinker with overscan settings in the catalyst control centre. i can't remember exactly where to look though.

Had exactly the same problem

Load CCC
select My digital flat panels
then scaling options
and move the underscan - overscan slider to the right
