Windows 8.1 start menu replacement.

Hello guys am doing a fresh windows 8.1 install tomorrow and I want to change the menu back to Windows 7 to get used to it again for Windows 10.

What is the best rated menu replacement?

Best paid one is Start8 IMHO,free ones like Classic Shell are not bad.

Just seen a site from pc world something about windows 10 menu on 8.1 this possible? The site won't load correctly on my phone.

Not like Windows 7 start menu but I use Pokki for my start bar replacement, does all I need it to.

Classic Shell is a good free one as others have suggested.

Personally I use StartisBack on my machines. Start8 is also pretty good.

I like classic shell as you can also disable the charms when you go to the top corners as well which I don't like, not too sure if you can do that on others or not

I have used start8 since I got win 8 and now 8.1 and it's been great, never had a problem with it

I use this one also on a few PC's and it works great. It's a perfect copy of the Windows 7 start menu and I have quick access to the new start menu apps with a middle wheel click on the start button.

With Start8 it required services to run in the background last time I used it, StartIsBack does not.

Classic Shell for me as well. It allows for a variety of customizations and I have only noticed couple of small annoying things so far (one of which is that you have to click twice on the Control Panel button in the Start Menu to enter the actual Control Panel). But it is free and does its job great.
