Windows 8.1 , Will it help?

Hello,

Just a quick question regarding windows 8.1
Will it make my pc boot faster? I currently have my OS on a 240gb SSD and i boot in around 18 seconds (from power switch).
And Will it it increase my pc's speed in general.

Doubt it, didn't with me but isn't 18 seconds to boot quick enough?

Going to stick my neck out here..

Windows 8 boots so much faster than 7...
I say go for it, it's generally snappier than 7 I find.

who gives a flying **** about how quick windows is to boot? it's something done once a day or even less if you put your computer to sleep. :/

if you want to upgrade, think of a better reason.

Who cares, with a SSD win 7 boots up within 15-20 seconds. To answer the question, yes when I updated my machine to windows 8.1 I did notice it boot up a lot faster than before.
