Windows 8.1 will not Sleep

Guys when I put 8.1 into sleep mode it only stays asleep for about 20 seconds or so and then it turns itself back on.

I have looked at everything I can think of such as WOL, unplugging the USB k/b and mouse but to no avail.

I have looked to see if I can find if anything is streaming and the only thing I have running is Media Browser 3, but with this turned off it still wont sleep.

Any ideas?

I have this issue but have had it since Windows 8, it is normally more than 20 seconds and it varies but sleep mode does turn itself back onto a normal booted state.

in the properties of your network car in device manager disable "wake on pattern match" & "wake on magic packet" (if you dont want wol)

Brilliant work Lizard! That worked perfectly for me.

Right click on the network symbol in your task tray
Properties
Change adpater settings
Right click 'Ethernet' choose properties
Hit configure
Advanced
Scrolled down and click on 'wake on pattern match'
disable

DONE SON!!

EDIT: Well that worked fine until I installed a bluetooth dongle... hoping for some solutions in a new thread
