UEFI, GPT etc etc.

Latest BIOS was needed, CMS setting in BIOS.

Asus P8H77-I
Western Digital WD-20EARX X6
Intel Pentium Dual Core G850
Cheap DDR3 13333 4GB
600W PSU

should have RAID 10ed them.

3 x 2 DISK RAID 1. Performance nearly as good as a stripe but with redundancy.

6 disks in a stripe is silly.

I have 4 WD20EARX that i'm putting in my NAS except mine are going in a RAID 5

This was a test
The w8 is a copy of RTM. I am not stupid enough to buy 8 and more hours after it had come out
The system is my NAS, RAID 5 running NAS 4 FREE with
Drives were free (HD farming)

Windows 8 is surpose to allow larger drive installs than 2TB as per W7. This was mearly to show it works

Play nicely now
