UEFI, GPT etc etc.

Latest BIOS was needed, CMS setting in BIOS.

Asus P8H77-I
Western Digital WD-20EARX X6
Intel Pentium Dual Core G850
Cheap DDR3 13333 4GB
600W PSU

RAID 0, 1.8T X 6 = 10.8TB

more as i play and i mean play.

Running 6 drives in RAID 0 is asking for trouble. I hope you have a good backup solution

should have RAID 10ed them.

3 x 2 DISK RAID 1. Performance nearly as good as a stripe but with redundancy.

6 disks in a stripe is silly.

I have 4 WD20EARX that i'm putting in my NAS except mine are going in a RAID 5

What do you need such a big C: ?

think that pops up after installing Media Center and disappears after a re-boot (did for me), could be wrong though.

^ ditto... RAID 5 or 10 (1+0) would probably have been a wiser choice.

What do you use your PC for? Pentium Dual Core is hardly anything to brag about

This was a test
The w8 is a copy of RTM. I am not stupid enough to buy 8 and more hours after it had come out
The system is my NAS, RAID 5 running NAS 4 FREE with
Drives were free (HD farming)

Windows 8 is surpose to allow larger drive installs than 2TB as per W7. This was mearly to show it works

Play nicely now

Sorry if my post sounded lame

I've also been playing with Windows 8 Pro and converted my MBR partitions to GPT yesterday so I could enable UEFI boot
