windows 8 account email

Hi

I currently have a hotmail account set up with windows 8 which I use to sign in as well.

I would like to know if its possible to use another email account to use as my sign in and all over programs within w8 like the email client , calender...

Thinking of closing my hotmail and switching to Gmail but can I set up a gmail email as my windows 8 ms account?
