I have recently installed Win 8 as my main OS. For some reason, on certain apps and software I need to be logged in as the Administrator. So I set up an account as the Administrator and what do you know, I still get the same message telling me I need to be logged in as the Administrator. So, can someone please tell me how the hell I can get Administrator rights. In Windows 7 it was so simple.
I am trying to install Dead Space 2. Now I just installed it the other day and for some reason, it keeps crashing. So, as a last resort I uninstalled and now I can`t re-install, for the reason mentioned.
Any help would be much appreciated.

You don't need to create an admin account, just enable the built in admin account, just as you would on Windows 7 ? then right click the program and run as admin like Unworthybean said, though if you have UAC on, it should prompt you?

Have you used any registry cleaners such as ccleaner etc as there was a problem wih them cocking up the registry in win 8 and messing up uac/ firewall control etc.

As I said earlier, it`s a fresh install and I never use cccleaner or anything like it.
