Heard so many different things about windows 7 vs 8, Is 8 actually better for certain gaming scenarios ?

Looks promising, If I can get my windows themes to somehow work then I'll switch to windows 8 as personally I think its ugly as hell.

themes work fine on windows 8.
just patch the necessary files just like in windows 7 and you are free
