windows 8 and loosing files?

mabye be a silly question, but if i upgrade will i need to reinstall steam to my c drive and origin? i would like w8 but to reinstall all of this would be a hassle as its spread over different drives. any help would be great .

If you're on Windows 7 it will leave all of your applications as they were before.

Installed 8. Totally ruined my system. Origin crashes every time. Steam games don't work and crash.
I presume I can't fresh install with this upgrade.
