Windows 8 - Anyone checked their event logs?

Random, no real pattern to them but I did have Internet Explorer quite often as I was in awe of how slick it was. lol

Tempted to do another install and this time not use IE10 and see if it makes a difference.

IE was usually open when I was getting problems throughout the system though, never really considered that could be the culprit.

i have errors related to my rat 5 mouse, it's working fine, so suppose just needs saitek to get a better driver out, it will happen, just got to wait it out

Fresh install and the only thing I have done different is leave smart screen for apps enabled.

Now have ZERO problems within the OS.

Just like magic.

Only issue now to iron out is weird textures in Sleeping Dogs but I haven't tried compatibility mode yet. (Like odd lines of lighting / sun rays)

FIFA, Xcom, Footy Manager and even Sopcast all working fine.

Amazed smart screen was so integral to the workings.

Yea even tho theres flashy adverts for Internet Explorer on Tv its still a terrible browser...

Too much popups and redirects, even on normal big name sites and letting all sorts of malware loaded adverts come from anywhere on web. Especially more now since M$ has stopped you using the HOSTS file to block advert domains.

Better not using Internet Explorer at all and install Firefox or Chrome and use Adblock Plus.

Will make the pc much more secure since malware from adverts are the biggest infector of computers these days and Internet Explorer does nothing to prevent it.

I always have Chrome installed as my main browser tbh, i'm heavily invested in Android / Google apps generally so it all ties in together. Just can't help but like IE10. They've done a good job with it.

Shame it has blurry fonts still. Been like that since IE8 and i've never gotten it to look right no matter how much I tinker with cttune.

Everything is stable and working fine but those weird registry things are back.

Ok, the process IDs 700, 948, 1012 are all tied to 46 registry handles leaked DETAIL - 46 user registry handles leaked from \Registry\User\S-1-5-21-2443668506-689073690-3057848115-1001:

Did a search in regedit and it relates to AllUserInstallAgent and AllUserStore

Any ideas how to clean this up?
