Hey guys having a little problem cant find the Calender app on Windows 8 anymore, i think i accidentaly removed it and cant seem to find it anymore. Any ideas on how to restore it or download it again?

Thanks.

the calendar is bundled with the mail, people and messaging apps. just search the app store for 'calendar' and you'll find the bundle. if you tried to uninstall one of the other apps that might explain why the calendar is gone.

I'm patiently waiting to see if Google release any sort of Calendar or Gmail app. I've got everything integrated, I just hate the stock Windows 8 calendar and mail stuff :(

will try, but if that is the case anyway to get it back? is there a place to download these apps back?

Glaucus, on the Start Screen, the Mail Icon top Left. For the life of me I cant get it to show Outlook ( I got the email from MS to say outlook is new Hotmail etc) I cannot add contacts from an email - no options - very basic view - maybe the touch version?

bring up charms bar, go to settings and select add account, click the outlook button. remember the charms bar settings is specific for that app.

ATM there is no way of saving a contact fro the mail app. The only way to do it is copy the email address, switch to the people hub, right click on any blank part and you get the bottom menu pop up, you can then add a contact.

the mail app is very basic and only really suited for light use. Im sure much functional will be added over time, but who knows when.

Ok that's great, I didn't realise the charm was specific to an app. That's cleared a few questions up. Thanks Glaucus:)
