Hey guys
Wondering if you can help, took the plunge for Windows 8 and it was great!! then got a windows 7 virus the other day that took forever to take off and once it was off, My firewall stopped working and without windows firewall, the app store or any apps do not work!
So to fix this problem downloaded the reg files for windows firewall and all the stuff that were missing BUT they were reg files from windows 7 NOT windows 8. So i have a firewall, but the windows 8 new store and everything new about it cant be let through the firewall.
So to solve the problem, i need to (what windows 8 call refresh) so that the correct files are reintalled onto my computer but i cant refresh it because it says the "drive that windows 8 is installed on is locked, please unlock and try again"
So can you tell me how to unlock the drive so that i can refresh windows 8 or if anyone has the reg files for windows 8 that caused this problem (see this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-5V7_NqGvc)
I have an SSD OCZ revodrive 3 and heard on the olive branch that windows lock SSD drives and no one can unlock it or i cant seem to find anyone that can!
HAve asked microsoft but they are extremely slow!
